The object before treatment began. The missing section of the base can be seen.
This object had been previously repaired with metal rivets to bind the detached sections of the base together.
The object was cleaned and the rivets were removed. The loose sections of base were then bonded and areas of loss (including the rivet holes) were filled.
Filling in the areas of loss on the outside of the base.
The object after decoration was reapplied and treatment was completed.
