The object before treatment began. This damage was caused by the release of the inherent tension in the clay.
 Although the object was not fragmented, there were spiraling cracks throughout.
 After light cleaning, the cracks were bonded. Because the original damage was caused by tension in the clay, the break-lines could not be perfectly realigned without reintroducing tension into the object. The cracks were then filled with material ti
 The fills were then painted to match the exact color and luster of the surface.
 This completed treatment on the object.
 After repairs were made, the object was stable enough to stand on its feet again.
